How NearSwap works, why privacy is the point, and exactly what it does and doesn't hide. No marketing claims we can't back up.

01 · Overview

Out of Solana, into anything.

NearSwap swaps SOL and Solana tokens into the main coins on 30+ chains: BTC, ETH, NEAR, USDC, USDT and more, landing on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, NEAR, Tron and others. Swaps run on NEAR Intents, a network of professional solvers that compete to fill each swap.

It's built around privacy: there's no direct on-chain link between the wallet that pays and the wallet that receives, swaps can be split into random pieces at random times, the site runs no trackers, and you never hand over your keys.

02 · How a swap works

Six steps, one deposit.

  1. 01

    Pick and quote

Choose what you send (SOL or a Solana token), what you want and on which chain, and where it should land. NearSwap asks NEAR Intents' 1Click service for a live quote: what you'll receive, the minimum after slippage, every fee, and an ETA.

  2. 02

    Get a one-time deposit address

When you confirm, 1Click creates a brand-new Solana address used for this swap only. Nobody has sent to it before, and nobody will again.

  3. 03

    Send

Send the exact amount in one click from Phantom, Solflare or Backpack, or copy the address or scan the QR code. Your keys never leave your wallet, and NearSwap never holds your funds.

  4. 04

    Solvers do the routing

NEAR Intents solvers compete to fill the swap and settle it on the destination chain. You don't bridge, wrap or juggle gas tokens yourself.

  5. 05

    Delivered, and easy to check

The coins land at the recipient. The status page tracks every step and links the recipient wallet on the destination chain's explorer, so you can see it arrive.

  6. 06

Or refunded to the wallet that paid

If a swap can't complete (price moved past your slippage, deposit too small), the funds go back automatically. With a wallet connected, refunds always return to the wallet that paid.

Under the hood, NearSwap talks to 1Click and to Solana through its own server, so API keys and your browser's requests never go straight to third parties. Prices, quotes and statuses come from 1Click; the deposit transaction is built in your browser and signed by your wallet.

03 · Why privacy matters

A public ledger is a public diary.

Every transaction on Solana, Ethereum or Bitcoin is public and permanent. Anyone can see what an address holds, where its money came from and where it went, forever. The only thing standing between that history and your name is that nobody has linked the address to you yet.

That link is easy to make. One withdrawal from an exchange that knows who you are, one payment to a friend, one address posted publicly, and your entire history and balance become readable by anyone: employers, clients, competitors, scammers, people you'd rather not meet.

In traditional finance this would be unthinkable. Your bank statement isn't public; your salary isn't on a billboard. Financial privacy is normal. Crypto made it optional, and most people only notice once it's already gone.

04 · Real use cases

Who needs this?

Anyone who doesn't want their whole financial life on display. A few everyday examples:

Getting paid without exposing your savings

A client who pays you in crypto can look up your wallet and see every balance and payment you've ever had. Receive into one wallet, move what you want to keep somewhere the payer never saw.

Keeping your net worth off the radar

Big, visible balances attract targeted phishing, fake support DMs, and in the worst cases threats against people in the real world. Not advertising what you hold is basic personal security.

Business and treasury confidentiality

A team paying contributors, suppliers or partners on-chain shows competitors its runway, its payroll and who it works with. Companies keep those numbers private in traditional finance for good reasons.

Starting fresh from a doxxed wallet

Once one address is tied to your name (an exchange withdrawal, a domain name, a public post) everything it touches is too. Moving to a new wallet on another chain without a direct on-chain link gives you a clean start.

Keeping copy-traders and bots off your trades

Bots watch large wallets and copy or front-run their moves. Not leaving a straight line from your main wallet to your next position keeps your strategy yours.

Paying people without showing your history

Paying a friend, a landlord or a shop from your main wallet shows them everything else in it. Paying from a wallet funded through a swap shows them only that payment.

Supporting causes safely

Journalists, human-rights groups and open-source developers depend on donations. Donors who don't want their name next to a cause have every right to give quietly.

Financial independence and personal safety

Anyone whose wallet is watched by someone they need distance from (a controlling partner, a former employer) deserves a way to move their own money without being followed.

05 · What it hides, and what it doesn't

Honest about the limits.

Privacy tools that overpromise get people hurt. Here is exactly where NearSwap stands today.

What an observer could tryWith NearSwap
Follow your wallet on-chain straight to the receiving wallet✓ No direct on-chain link
Match a deposit to a payout by amount and timing✓ Blurred by split routing
Track you through the website (analytics, ad trackers, third-party scripts)✓ None: your browser only talks to NearSwap
Read your swap history from an account✓ No account; history stays in your browser
See that your Solana wallet sent funds to a 1Click deposit address✗ Visible on Solana
Ask 1Click / NEAR Intents which payout a deposit became✗ They can link the two
Look up a swap on the NEAR Intents explorer with its deposit address✗ Possible

NearSwap is not a mixer. It removes the direct on-chain trail and makes matching by amount and time much harder, but the swap service itself can still connect both ends. NEAR's privacy mode, Confidential Intents, is already built into NearSwap and will be switched on once NEAR enables it for NearSwap.

06 · Features

What's in the box.

No trackers, no third parties

No analytics, no ad pixels, no third-party scripts. Token logos, prices and Solana requests all go through NearSwap's own server, so your browser never contacts CoinGecko, RPC providers or anyone else just to show you a page. The one exception: generating a proof of swap (an advanced feature) downloads public setup data from Aztec.

Refunds to the wallet that paid

With a wallet connected, refunds can only go back to the wallet that paid; switching accounts mid-swap blocks sending until you switch back. No mix-ups, no refunds landing somewhere you didn't intend.

Check every step yourself

Each deposit address can be checked on NEAR Intents' own server, every swap links to the NEAR Intents explorer, and after delivery you get a link to the recipient wallet on its own chain's explorer. Trust & safety

Private send (Solana)

A separate tool for breaking the link on Solana itself: move SOL, USDC or USDT into Privacy Cash's pool, then send from it to a fresh wallet. A proof made in your browser shows you own a deposit without saying which, so nothing on-chain connects the two wallets. Amounts and timing are still visible. Private send

Advanced, if you want them

None of these are needed for a normal swap. All advanced features

  • Split routing: one swap becomes 3 to 7 randomly sized pieces sent at random times, optionally to several of your own wallets. The strongest tool against matching by amount and time. Turn it on under Advanced options in the swap form. How it works
  • Proof of swap: prove “I swapped at least $100 through NearSwap” without revealing which swap or which wallet, for rewards claimed to a fresh wallet or a badge anyone can check. Made in your browser; your secret never leaves your device. Prove a swap
  • Signed receipts: every completed swap gets a receipt anyone can check. It identifies the swap by a hash and doesn't contain your wallet address. Check a receipt
07 · Best practices

Get the most out of it.

  • Receive into a fresh wallet that has never touched your main one. A new account from your seed phrase is enough.
  • Use split routing with several recipients for larger amounts. One recipient still shows all payouts landing together.
  • Avoid round numbers and instant re-sends. Swapping exactly 10 SOL and moving the output a minute later makes matching easy.
  • Don't send from or to an exchange unless you're fine with that exchange connecting the dots, and never use an exchange deposit address as the recipient or refund address.
  • Using proofs? Back up your notes from Activity (Export). They live only in your browser; lose them and you can't prove those swaps later.
  • Verify the contract address on this site before buying anything that claims to be NearSwap's token.
08 · Fees

Shown before you confirm.

Every quote lists exactly what you pay: the NearSwap fee, the NEAR Intents fee and the destination chain's network fee, already included in the amount you'll receive. Nothing is added after you confirm. Your wallet also pays a small Solana network fee, and for token (non-SOL) deposits about 0.002 SOL of one-time account rent.

09 · The token

Funding the swap, keeping fees low.

The NearSwap token, NSWAP, will launch on Meteora, through its Dynamic Bonding Curve (DBC), with a 3% tax on every buy and sell. Meteora keeps part of it as its protocol fee; the rest pays for NearSwap itself:

  • Running the exchange: hosting, the Solana RPC, the database and monitoring that keep swaps fast and reliable.
  • Building it: development, security reviews, new chains and new privacy features.
  • Keeping swap fees low: the more running costs the tax covers, the less NearSwap has to charge on each swap.

Always check the official contract address on the NearSwap home page. NearSwap will never DM you, ask for your seed phrase, or ask you to send funds to take part in anything.

The token is not an investment product and comes with no promise of price, returns or profit. Nothing here is financial advice. Crypto is volatile; only use what you can afford to lose.

10 · Responsible use

Privacy, not cover.

Financial privacy is a right, and the use cases above are what NearSwap is for. It is not a way to launder money or evade the law: swaps run through NEAR Intents, which can see both ends of every swap and may refuse to process them. Use NearSwap for your own funds and lawful purposes.

11 · Trust & safety

Don't trust. Check.

NearSwap is an independent app built on NEAR Intents, not run or endorsed by NEAR Foundation. The Trust & safety page has a checklist for verifying any swap without trusting us, and how to spot a fake NearSwap.
